Leading electronic hardware, fastener, and component distributor HTF recently announced that it has earned its first ISO certification in Canada.

Intertek, a 130-year-old leading quality assurance and control organization certified by the ANAB (ANSI National Accreditation Board), awarded HTF’s newly expanded Canadian facility in Mississauga/Erin Mills, Ontario its ISO 9001:2015 certification in November 2019, certifying the company as a “Master Stocking Distributor and Service Provider of Leading Engineered Fastener, Component, and Hardware lines specified by the Electronic, Telecommunication, Medical, and Defense Industries.”

ISO, or the International Organization of Standardization, is a globally recognized entity dedicated to establishing and maintaining quality standards across various industries. With a membership of 164 national bodies, ISO plays a crucial role in ensuring that businesses worldwide maintain adherence to strict criteria to guarantee the reliability, safety, and effectiveness of their products and services. ISO 9001:2015 represented ISO's most recent set of guiding standards for quality certification by their organization. By meeting these stringent standards, HTF demonstrates its continual commitment to providing customers with the highest level of quality.

“The ISO 9001:2015 designation represents further assurance to our customers that HTF Canada has a stringent dedication to process, quality, and continuous improvement,” says Steve Hill, GM of HTF Canada.

HTF has continuously maintained its ISO certification in the United States since 1998, making it internationally quality certified as a master-stocking distributor. In addition to its reception of U.S. and Canadian ISO certifications, HTF only represents industry-leading manufacturers who offer not only excellent product quality, but superior customer service. HTF staff also uphold a personal commitment to provide a high standard of service to customers. Mark Mertz, COO of HTF, reflects, “I am proud, but not surprised, of the hard work and commitment to excellence displayed by our Canadian team members in order to gain this certification.”
