HTF’s Customer-focused, Listen-first Sales Representative
Whether you call her “Skiff”, “Skiffy” or “Skippy”—three of her endearing nicknames at HTF and among her customers—Heather Skiffington is known for her strong, trust-based relationships and her keen ability to listen to her customers’ needs. Heather has been an effective and highly valued HTF sales representative for more than three years and is located out of the company’s Canadian office.
Heather believes in living life to the fullest and enjoying the little things in life. This attention to detail helps explain her uncanny ability to network and develop strong partnerships with her clients.
“My strengths would be in my relationships and positive attitude; this is true both at work and in my personal life. I always take the time to listen to people’s needs; this has helped me to build strong connections with both customers and friends through the years. I value my relationships and realize that they require nurturing, trust and work to maintain,” she stated.
Prior to joining HTF, Heather was a sales representative with Wesco Aircraft Corp and with Source 4 Fasteners; in total, she has more than 20 years of experience in the industry. She has worked in many offices and HTF is one of her all-time favorite places to work.
“There are so many reasons I enjoy working for HTF, I’d say the number one reason would be the people. HTF has a family feel. Everyone is such a pleasure to work with and are always willing to help in any situation. We all appreciate each other’s hard work and share the same goals. Our team here in Canada has truly the best people in the industry. I am thankful to be a part of this awesome group of people,” Heather shared.
For Heather, the fastener business is a family affair, as her husband of 20 years also works in the industry. When Heather and her husband are not plying their trade, they love spending time with their “fur baby” Havana and traveling to Newfoundland to visit family, spending time at the cottage, enjoying bonfires and making wonderful memories. Heather also enjoys her book club in her free time.
